Dining With the Characters at Walt Disney World

Character dining at Disney World is very popular. You should call to make reservations as soon as you book your vacation. If you wait, you may be disappointed that you will not be able to get in the restaurant. The worst-case scenario if you make reservations and don’t have time, you can always cancel. There are twelve restaurants to choose from that you can dine with the characters. There is approximately one restaurant at each of the parks, except Hollywood Studios, and there is a restaurant at the Beach Club, Grand Floridian, Polynesian Resort and the Swan hotels.

Each restaurant has it’s own set of characters. Depending on which character your child may want to see, will decide where you will dine. You will either have a buffet to eat from or you will have family style eating. The menu is fixed and your food will be served on large platters on your table. It’s pretty much all you can eat this way also.

Depending on your schedule of events you have for the day, you can dine with the characters for any meal. If you would like to go first thing in the morning and start your day after that you can. If you would like to end your day eating dinner with the characters that is also an option. Of course lunch is an option as well.

If you would like to do character dining for breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table at the Magic Kingdom, you will be required to make a deposit at the time of your reservation. You are able to make reservations 90 days in advance for Cinderella’s Royal Table. After you have figured out what day of your vacation you would like to eat there, you should look at your calendar and figure out what date is exactly 90 days in advance and call that day to make your reservations.

There will be three to five characters walking around at the time of your meal. Each of them will come to your table individually where you can get your photos taken or autographs from your favorite characters. Be sure to have your camera handy and child’s autograph book and pen ready when each character arrives at your table.

Try to seat your child at the best spot at the table so that each character can easily get to them. This will save the characters time and ensure that they can get around to all the tables in the restaurant.
